Description

Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate/Sulphonate SNF is a naphthalene-based highly effective water reducing agent for promoting accelerated early and ultimate strength development, commonly referred to as a superplasticizer, also named Naphthalene Sulfonate Formaldehyde Condensate (NSF), SNF, PNS and FDN etc.

Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate possesses the features of no retarding, no air-introducing, superplastic high water-reducing and strength enhancing. It has no chloride, low alkali content, low sulphonate, and high purity. It can be widely used in different concretes with less dosage and easy to use.

Application

● Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate SNF Powder produces the high slump flowing concrete with no loss in strength.Produces low water/cement ratio concrete with high strengths.
● Ideal for using in high strength concrete, flowing concrete, early strength concrete, precast steam curing concrete, prestressed concrete etc. where it is desired to keep the water/cement ratio to a minimum and still achieve the degree of workability necessary to provide easy placement and consolidation.
● Be used as basic material to produce others compound admixtures, (such as accelerating and water-reducing admixture, retarding and water-reducing admixture, pumping antifreeze and pumping water-reducing admixture, etc.)

Advantages

Compared with traditional plasticizer, Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate SNF has higher water reducing rate, good performance for high flowing concrete, case-in-place concrete which require for early and high strength, precast concrete and parts etc. It also has good adaptability to common cement, widely use in roads, bridges, dams, power engineering, civil construction and others.

•  High water reducing rate. By the recommended dosage, the water reducing rate can reach 16% -28%, with obvious performance of early strength.
•  Improve the workability of concrete and enhance concrete property, such as fracture resistance, compressive resistance and long term strength etc.
•  Save cost. In the case of maintaining the same workability and strength, cement consumption will be reduced, and can improve concrete fluidity, enhance the bonding between concrete and steel bar.
•  Wide adaptability, cost-effective. It has good adaptability to various cement, such as silicate cement, ordinary Portland cement, slag cement, volcanic ash cement, etc.
•  Be mother material to formulate other functional admixtures, like type of early strength, set retarding, pumping, and anti-freezing etc.

Dosage

0.5 – 1.5% by weight of cement. Exact dosage rates are dependent on the type of effect sought, quality of cement and aggregates, water/cement ratio and ambient temperature. Therefore, in many cases it is advisable to carry out trial mixes. 


Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate can be added directly or added in after dissolved in water. It can be added during mixing and after-mixing (better). The after-mixing approach can achieve better result.

For powder: 25kg woven plastic bag with film liner, 25kg kraft paper bag with film liner,650kg/700kg jumbo bag or customized package according to your requirement.

Storage Conditions

Store the goods in a dedicated warehouse that is well-ventilated and dry and keep away from moisture. Residual product must be sealed and stored to prevent moisture.

Shelf Life

Well-packaged product has a shelf life of 12 months since production. If exceeds the expiration date, it must be verified through testing before use.
